Core Prep machines and the tooling that mounts to them.

• Floor grinders and polishers – single and multi-head machines, electric and propane, for grinding, honing and polishing.
• Scarifiers – drum machines that cut aggressively into concrete for removal and traction.
• Shot blasters and strippers – profiling and coating removal.
• Grinding shoes, cup wheels and Core Lock inserts – the consumable tooling, matched to the machine's plate.

Pick by how much material has to come off and what surface you need afterwards.

• Grinder – smooth finish, coating removal, polish. The lightest cut and the best surface.
• Scarifier – heavy removal and levelling. Fast, but it leaves a rough profile that needs grinding after.
• Shot blaster – even profile across a large area, ready for coating, with dust contained.

The shoe has to match the machine's plate. Core Lock inserts, wedge shoes and threaded cups are not interchangeable between manufacturers.

Bond runs opposite to the concrete: soft bond for hard concrete, hard bond for soft or green concrete. Getting this backwards is the usual cause of shoes that glaze or vanish.

Grit follows the stage - metal bond to cut, resin to refine, then step through the polishing grits.

Single-head machines are lighter, cheaper and better in tight rooms and on edges. Multi-head planetary machines cover far more square footage per hour and leave a flatter floor.

Yes, for any dry grinding. Concrete dust is a respirable silica exposure and it also loads the tooling, which slows the cut.

Small single-head units run on 115V. Most production machines are 230V single-phase or three-phase, and the larger ones will not run on a standard site outlet.

Propane machines avoid the power question entirely but need ventilation and CO monitoring. Confirm the supply before ordering.

The part number or catalog number if you have it. If you do not, tell us the material being cut or ground, the machine it runs on, the size and arbor or thread, the quantity, and where it ships.

On equipment, add the power available - gas, hydraulic, 115V, 230V or three-phase - because most models are built in more than one configuration.
