Heat Wagon | Indirect Fired, Direct Fired, Electric Heaters, Fans/Blowers, and Misting/Coolers
Jobsite Heat from 5,100 to 7,000,000 BTU/hr
Direct fired, indirect fired and electric construction heaters, plus Sure Flame make-up air, fans, misting coolers and torches - the current Heat Wagon line.
What this collection covers
The current Heat Wagon and Sure Flame equipment line supplied by HTS Supply, grouped the way Heat Wagon groups it.
- Direct fired – oil, dual fuel and liquid propane heaters from 115,000 to 7,000,000 BTU/hr.
- Indirect fired – oil and gas heaters with a sealed heat exchanger, 110,000 to 1,500,000 BTU/hr.
- Electric – 1.5 kW to 60 kW, 120V through 480V three-phase.
- Make-up air – concealed flame units for tempering ventilation air.
- Fans, blowers, misting coolers and torches.
Ducting, thermostats, regulators, hoses and fuel tanks are in Heat Wagon OEM heater parts.
Direct fired or indirect fired?
Direct fired heaters burn in the airstream, so nearly all of the fuel's heat goes into the space along with the combustion products. They are the most heat for the money where the space is ventilated - open structures, tented work and make-up air.
Indirect fired heaters burn inside a sealed heat exchanger and flue the exhaust outside, delivering clean, dry heat. They are the choice for occupied or enclosed buildings and for drywall, paint, flooring and concrete curing, where moisture and fumes are a problem.
How many BTUs do I need?
It depends on the volume of the space, how cold it is outside, the temperature you need to hold and how well the space is closed in. A tented or open structure can need several times the heat of an insulated building of the same size.
Heat Wagon's heater size calculator gives a starting figure. Send us the dimensions, the outside low and the target temperature and we will size it with you.
Propane, natural gas, oil or electric?
- Oil-fired models run on diesel, kerosene and #1 or #2 fuel oil.
- Dual fuel gas models switch between vapor propane and natural gas. Models ending in L, and the LP versions of the 4210, 4215 and 4220, are built for liquid propane.
- Electric heaters are sized to the circuit: the P1500 runs on 120V, the P300, P600 and P900 on 240V single phase, the P1800 series on 240V, and the P4000 and P6000 on 480V three-phase.
Gas pressure, regulators and ducting
Gas-fired units need an appropriate regulator wherever the supply pressure is over 14 in. W.C. Most heaters are ductable; the duct size and maximum run are listed in each product's specifications.
Regulators, ducting, adapter rings and thermostats are in Heat Wagon OEM heater parts.
Special order models
The 4210, 4215 and 4220 direct fired heaters, the ID800T and the IX1500 are built to order. Call for availability and lead time before planning a job around one.
Large heaters ship by freight, quoted to the delivery address.
What do you need from me to quote?
The model number if you have it. If you do not, tell us the size of the space, the outside low, the temperature you need to hold, the fuel or power available on site and whether people will be working in the heated space.
Add the delivery address and whether you need a lift gate.
Manuals, spec sheets and support
Every Heat Wagon product page carries the manufacturer's spec sheet and operator's manual under Downloads. For parts, send the model and serial number from the heater's data plate.
