Burnishing a floor's finish is important for two primary reasons. Firstly, it preserves and revitalizes the existing shine. More significantly, it simplifies floor maintenance by smoothing out scratches. This process eliminates areas where dirt can accumulate. Once dirt is embedded in scratches, standard cleaning methods are ineffective, leading to further scratching as dust and dirt are repeatedly ground in by foot traffic.
