Allegro Respiratory Protection

Supplied Air & PAPR

Allegro Respiratory Protection

Supplied-air and powered air respirators, the pumps and blowers that feed them, and every component in between.

Selecting and ordering respiratory protection
What this collection covers

Allegro respiratory protection, grouped the way the decision is actually made – by how the clean air gets to the worker.

  • Supplied air (SAR) – air comes from a remote clean source through a hose, to a hood, mask, shield or blasting helmet.
  • Powered air (PAPR) – a belt-mounted blower pulls air through a filter and feeds a headtop. No hose, no tether.
  • Breathing air sources – ambient air pumps and filtration panels that make the supply, high pressure and low.
  • Blasting – abrasive blasting helmets with their capes, lenses, air control and cooling.
  • Fit testing and cleaning – the programme equipment that keeps the respirators compliant and in service.
  • Components – hoses, couplings, valves, filters, cases and every replacement part.
Supplied air or PAPR – which do I need?

It comes down to the hazard and the tether.

PAPR filters the air that is already there. It is right when the contaminant is filterable and oxygen is normal, and it leaves the worker free to move. It is not an answer in an oxygen-deficient or IDLH atmosphere.

Supplied air brings clean air in from outside the work area. It is what confined space, abrasive blasting and unknown or oxygen-deficient atmospheres require, at the cost of dragging a hose.

If you are unsure which the atmosphere calls for, that is a question for the site's air monitoring, not for a catalogue. Send us the readings and we will match the equipment.

How do I size a breathing air pump?

By the number of workers and the length of the airline. Each respirator has a rated airflow, each pump has a rated output, and hose length and diameter take their cut in between.

Tell us how many workers, what they are wearing, and how far the pump sits from the work. We size the pump to the worst case, not the average.

The pump intake also has to sit in genuinely clean air – upwind, away from exhaust and away from the work itself.

Does this equipment meet the OSHA and NIOSH requirements?

Allegro respirators are NIOSH approved, and the approval is specific to the assembly – the headtop with its hose, its couplings and its air source, within the stated hose lengths and pressures.

Substituting a hose or a fitting from elsewhere voids the approval even when it fits. Keep the assembly as approved, and if you need to change something, ask us first.

Your written respiratory protection programme, medical evaluation and fit testing under 29 CFR 1910.134 remain your responsibility; we supply the equipment, not the programme.

Replacement parts and consumables

Yes. Allegro sell the components as well as the systems, and this store carries both – filters, cartridges, hoses, couplings, motors, impellers, lenses, visors, harnesses, canisters and the fasteners and fittings that go with them.

Quote the model of the unit the part goes into. The same part number can differ by build, and the model is what separates them.

What do you need from me to quote?

The Allegro part number if you have it – it is on the product label and in the manual, and it returns the fastest answer.

If you do not have it, send:

  • What the task is, and whether it is indoor, outdoor or confined space
  • How many workers it has to cover
  • What you already own that it has to work with
  • Quantity, ship-to ZIP code and the date you need it

Shipping, freight and lead times

Most of this line ships parcel. Blowers, tents, shelters, reels and cased systems move by freight, which needs a ship-to ZIP and a note on whether the site has a dock or needs a liftgate.

Stocked items ship quickest; anything ordered in from Allegro carries their lead time, which we confirm on the quote rather than estimate here. If the job is already scheduled, say so on the request – it changes how we source it.

Why buy Allegro from HTS Supply

Allegro Industries has built air-supply, ventilation and worker-protection equipment in the United States since 1990, and HTS Supply carries the line whole rather than the fast-moving fraction of it.

  • The full catalogue – systems, components and the replacement parts that keep them running, not just the headline items.
  • Specified, not just shipped – tell us the task and we will work back to the right configuration.
  • One purchase order – Allegro alongside the rest of the equipment lines we carry.
