Allegro Confined Space & Sampling
Allegro Confined Space & Sampling
Manhole guarding, lid handling, shelters and work tents, with air sampling pumps and cassettes.
What this collection covers
Allegro equipment for working at and in an open hole – everything except the ventilation, which has its own collection, and the air supply, which has another.
- Manhole guarding – guard rails, safety crosses and shields that keep traffic and people out of an open hole.
- Lid handling – magnetic lid lifters, extensions, hooks, spreader bars and storm grate adapters.
- Shelters – work tents, utility canopies, umbrellas, side wall kits and tent heaters.
- Air sampling – personal and area sampling pumps with their cassettes and media.
For blowers and ducting see Ventilation Blowers & Fans; for supplied air see Respiratory Protection.
What does a confined space entry actually need?
Four things, and this collection covers two of them.
- Atmospheric monitoring before and during entry – test before you ventilate, and keep testing.
- Ventilation – see the blowers collection.
- Guarding and shelter at the opening – here.
- Retrieval and rescue – a plan and the equipment to execute it, before anyone goes in.
29 CFR 1910.146 is the standard that governs it. We supply equipment, not the permit programme.
Which manhole guard or shield fits my opening?
Measure the opening and tell us the shape. Round manhole, square vault and rectangular pit all take different guarding, and the adjustable ranges overlap but do not cover everything.
Say whether it is in a roadway too. Traffic exposure changes what the guarding has to do, and usually means adding high-visibility shelter rather than a rail alone.
How do I choose an air sampling pump?
By the method you are sampling to. The analytical method sets the flow rate and the sampling medium, and the pump has to hold that flow for the full shift against the cassette's resistance.
Tell us the contaminant and the method number, and we will match the pump, the cassette and the calibration accessories together rather than separately.
Replacement parts and consumables
Yes. Allegro sell the components as well as the systems, and this store carries both – filters, cartridges, hoses, couplings, motors, impellers, lenses, visors, harnesses, canisters and the fasteners and fittings that go with them.
Quote the model of the unit the part goes into. The same part number can differ by build, and the model is what separates them.
What do you need from me to quote?
The Allegro part number if you have it – it is on the product label and in the manual, and it returns the fastest answer.
If you do not have it, send:
- What the task is, and whether it is indoor, outdoor or confined space
- How many workers it has to cover
- What you already own that it has to work with
- Quantity, ship-to ZIP code and the date you need it
Call 504-228-4049 or email sales@hydrotechnologysystems.supply.
Shipping, freight and lead times
Most of this line ships parcel. Blowers, tents, shelters, reels and cased systems move by freight, which needs a ship-to ZIP and a note on whether the site has a dock or needs a liftgate.
Stocked items ship quickest; anything ordered in from Allegro carries their lead time, which we confirm on the quote rather than estimate here. If the job is already scheduled, say so on the request – it changes how we source it.
Why buy Allegro from HTS Supply
Allegro Industries has built air-supply, ventilation and worker-protection equipment in the United States since 1990, and HTS Supply carries the line whole rather than the fast-moving fraction of it.
- The full catalogue – systems, components and the replacement parts that keep them running, not just the headline items.
- Specified, not just shipped – tell us the task and we will work back to the right configuration.
- One purchase order – Allegro alongside the rest of the equipment lines we carry.
