Diamond Products Coring Equipment
Diamond Products Coring Equipment
Core Bore drill motors, rigs and stands - electric, hydraulic and high cycle - with the vacuum pumps, anchors, masts and adapters that set them up.
What this collection covers
Everything that drives and holds a core bit.
- Core rigs – complete motor, stand and base packages ready to drill.
- Drill motors – electric, hydraulic and high cycle motors sold on their own.
- Stands and masts – bases, columns and large anchor stands.
- Vacuum pumps – for vacuum-base mounting where anchoring is not allowed.
- Adapters and accessories – anchors, setting tools, autofeed, carriages, water controls and motor mounts.
What size motor do I need?
Motor size follows the largest bit you intend to run, because torque requirement climbs with diameter.
- Up to 6 in. – smaller single-speed motors, often hand held.
- 6 to 14 in. – mid-size multi-speed rigs.
- 14 in. and larger – heavy multi-speed or hydraulic motors on a rigid stand.
Tell us the largest diameter and the deepest hole and we will size it.
Anchor base or vacuum base?
Anchor mounting is the stronger hold and the one to use for large diameters, angled holes and overhead work. It needs a 3/8 in. or 1/2 in. anchor set into the slab.
Vacuum mounting leaves no hole and sets up fast, but it needs a smooth, sound, flat surface and a vacuum pump, and it is not suitable for the largest bits or for overhead drilling.
115V, 230V, three-phase or hydraulic?
Confirm what is actually available at the site before ordering - most motors are built in more than one electrical configuration and they are not field-convertible.
Hydraulic motors need a matched power pack; high cycle motors need an inverter. Both are quoted with the motor.
Does a rig include the core bit?
No. Bits are specified separately against the material and the hole size. See Core Bore coring bits, or send the diameter and material with the rig enquiry.
What is an autofeed and do I need one?
An autofeed advances the carriage at a constant rate so the operator does not have to hold feed pressure. On repetitive or deep drilling it improves bit life and frees the operator, and it is what you want on long production runs.
Can I drill without water?
On concrete, no - the motor and bit both depend on water for cooling and slurry removal. Dry coring is limited to block and soft masonry with a dry bit and a vacuum.
For slurry and dust capture see Core Vac.
What do you need from me to quote?
The part number or catalog number if you have it. If you do not, tell us the material being cut or ground, the machine it runs on, the size and arbor or thread, the quantity, and where it ships.
On equipment, add the power available - gas, hydraulic, 115V, 230V or three-phase - because most models are built in more than one configuration.
