Sprague Systems

Sprague Systems are packaged air driven hydraulic power units and pumping systems designed for high-pressure liquid transfer, pressure generation, testing, hydraulic actuation, and portable or stationary hydraulic power applications. These systems combine Sprague pumps with the supporting components needed for operation, helping reduce the time required to select, assemble, plumb, and test a custom hydraulic setup.

Sprague Non-Contaminating Hydraulic Pump Power Units

Sprague non-contaminating power units are designed for applications where the pumped liquid must remain isolated from contamination. These systems use Sprague S-216-JS style pumps and include components such as an air filter, pressure regulator and lubricator, air shut-off valve, muffler, manifold, liquid bleed valve, air pressure gauge, liquid pressure gauge, and steel mounting base.

Stainless steel wetted components make these units suitable for clean fluid handling and compatible liquid service.

Sprague Double-Acting Hydraulic Power Units

Sprague double-acting hydraulic power units are assembled with compatible accessories for use as portable power supplies or as stationary components within a hydraulic system. These units typically include the selected Sprague JD pump, air filter, pressure regulator, liquid and air pressure gauges, air lubricator, valves, fittings, and a mounting base.

Common Sprague double-acting system models include S-440-JD-6.8, S-440-JD-34, S-440-JD-36, S-440-JD-60, and S-440-JDN-60. Depending on the model, these units may be used with oil, water, liquid refrigerants, petroleum-based hydraulic fluids, water-based hydraulic fluids, low-lubricity liquids, non-corrosive liquids, or select corrosive liquids.

Air Operated Pumping Systems

Air operated pumping systems are complete, self-contained hydraulic systems designed to operate from standard shop air. Available system families include PS-10, PS-20, PS-30, PS-40, PS-50, PS-90, and PS-150 configurations.

These systems are commonly used for high-pressure testing, pressure generation, hydraulic clamping, component proof testing, and other industrial high-pressure applications.

Standard systems may include a hydraulic oil reservoir, oil filter, air operated hydraulic pump, pressure gauge, panel-mounted high-pressure valves, safety head assembly, panel-mounted air regulator and gauge, air line filter, lubricator, and steel console enclosure.

Air Driven Power Units

Sprague air driven power units are packaged systems designed for portable and stationary hydraulic service. These units are delivered fully assembled, ready-to-use, and factory tested.

Depending on the model, available configurations may include compact base-mounted units, reservoir-mounted units, tubular-frame portable units, wheeled systems, dual-gauge arrangements, stainless steel frames, and bypass circuits for faster filling.

  • S-440-JD – Double-acting hydraulic pump power unit.
